About us
LASE University Group is a trailblazing collaboration bringing together the Universities of Greenwich and Kent under one unique super-university model, a first in the UK.
We are England's third-largest university group with more than 50,000 students in the UK and on courses across the globe. Our 7,000+ staff are committed to the highest quality education and research, providing opportunity without boundaries from city to coast.
We place huge value on partnerships: our new University Group brings more opportunity through increased scale, shared expertise, and greater collective capacity to support skills development, research, and economic growth in London, Kent and beyond. Businesses and partners will benefit from improved access to graduates, apprenticeships, professional development, and research expertise. Our research has real world impact, with more than £32 million in research funding awards in 2025 across both Greenwich and Kent.
Our group is located across four beautiful campuses in London and Kent: Greenwich campus is part of the stunning Royal Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site; Canterbury campus is built on 300 acres of parkland, with views over this historic cathedral city; Avery Hill in south London, surrounded by green spaces including Eltham Palace; and Medway, a historic and campus created by the two universities twenty years ago.
